How to plan your perfect day for Father’s Day

Sundown Adventureland is a big place, spread over 50 acres and there are over 50 rides and attractions to find and explore. So we have put together an outline plan for you to follow, to take in some of the biggest ones, we know you’ll love.

Breakfirst

Any self-respecting dad is going to want a bacon or sausage cob and a cup of coffee to get their day off to a perfect start. you have two key options here. The first is the Pumpkin Patch Cafe, just off Market Square, by the entrance. The second option is Crash Landings at the far end of the park (but very close to Wild Acre Wood if you fancy making a weekend of it). This is a gigantic indoor play area with a cafe and a great place to start!

Dad v Kids race?

If you have started at Crash Landings, then whilst you’re having breakfast, the kids will be busy sliding down the adventurous bumpy slides inside the huge indoor Crash Landings play area. Are you really brave enough to race them and win? You decide.

Head for the hills

One great ride to start on is the excellent Robin Hood Ride It’ll take you around the Nottinghamshire countryside aboard our beautifully themed carriages. There are surprises, friends and foes around every corner and fun throughout the ride.

If the weather is warm, then you’d best get wet

So, next on the list is the Jolly Pirate Barrel Ride. Simple fun in a barrel where you’ll get splashed and squirted, but won’t get soaked, so you can carry on exploring the park and our rides without a squelchy shoe in site.

Anyone for lunch?

We have places to eat throughout the park and all offer great value kids meals as well as hearty food for adults too. Have a rest, compare notes on what you’ve enjoyed the most so far and prepare for your afternoon of fun.

Tractor ride anyone

The tractor ride is great fun for all. The kids sit upfront, whilst the adults relax in the back as they are chauffeured around the track, enjoying the fun and scenery throughout.

We’re again offering free park tickets for all bookings in 2024. You do not need to do anything your tickets will be ready in your lodge on arrival. All tickets are valid from the date and time you check in until the end of the day you check out.
