Captain Sandy’s Play Cove
Captain Sandy’s Play cove is the biggest beach and sandy play area in all of Sundown and it’s completely full of places to play. The kids love digging, playing, building castles and forts in the beautiful golden sand. In the middle of it all is Captain Sandy’s house, which doubles up as a climbing area, where the only way out is by a slippery slide. Look up and you can see Captain Sandy himself waving to you and ensuring you have a great time.
Captain Sandy’s is next to one of our covered picnic areas so if you like, you can add sand to your sandwiches, to give you the full seaside experience. If that’s not your cup of tea, then maybe just enjoy your lunch together whilst the kids keep playing safely within view. If you’ve forgotten your lunch, or just need a top up of tea, then there’s a handy and great value snack kiosk right next door too.

- The use of the playground equipment is at your own risk.
- Suitable footwear must be worn.
- No bare feet allowed.
- Guests under 5 years old must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
- Smoking is not allowed in the play area.
