Statement of safety for guests with disabilities
Sundown Adventureland wants all of its guests to have a safe and magical adventure and is a member of the British Association of Leisure Parks, Piers and Attractions (BALPPA). We welcome visits by disabled people and will do all that is possible to ensure a safe and pleasurable stay. However, certain rides and attractions in our park can be physically demanding and vigorous. We, therefore, reserve the right to refuse admission to certain rides should we feel there is a danger to a particular individual for whatever reason.
We have been advised by the health and safety executive that refusal on the grounds of health and safety does not constitute discrimination.
We hope that you understand and accept the decisions made in the interest of health and safety.
Not all our rides at Sundown Adventureland are suitable for all guests, and each ride has specific requirements based on the design of the ride, the force of the ride and the evacuation procedures in place. These are set in accordance with the ride manufacturer’s stipulations and external Ride Inspectors (ADIPS) requirements, and exceptions will not be made. All our staff have been trained to follow all rules and restrictions for each ride for health and safety reasons. We will not make any exceptions, and the ride operator’s decision is final. They are there for your safety and for the safety of others. Your safety whilst at Sundown is our main priority.
