Disabled access
Sundown Adventureland welcomes visits from guests with all disabilities and will do everything possible to ensure they have a safe and magical visit. We want disabled guests to participate in as many activities as possible.
This guide is designed to help guest with disabilities to have a magical adventure here at Sundown Adventureland. A summary of the facilities we offer are as follows:
- Parking – Disabled parking bays are located next to the main entrance to the park.
- Buying tickets – For pricing on the day you are visiting see prices/tickets.
- Park access – All paths around Sundown Adventureland are flat with no hills. All surfaces around the park are concrete or block paving, with the exception of the cowboy street which is a loose bark surface with some wooden boardwalks.
- Ride access – All our rides and attractions are accessible with a wheelchair to platform areas, however on all the rides you will need to be able to transfer from a wheelchair onto the ride with the help of your carer, who will have to sit with you on that ride to assist you with boarding and alighting the rides. Carers will also have to be able to assist you in the event of an emergency.
- Broken limbs – Some rides do have restrictions for guests with broken limbs. Please see specific ride information for individual rides.
- Café & shops access – All restaurants and shops are wheelchair accessible.
- Toilet facilities – Toilets with disabled access are located at the park entrance (main toilet block), Rodeo Corral café and Crash Landings café.
- Wheelchair hire – Manual wheelchairs are available to hire from the main entrance. However, we ask for a returnable deposit of £50 or you must leave your car keys at the desk, and it is £5 to hire for the day. We only have a limited availability. So please pre-book before your visit by calling the office.
- Guide/assistance dogs – Admittance allowed for registered, fully trained assistance dogs. Assistance Dogs will not be allowed to accompany guests on the rides. Please ensure the dog is left with another member of your group and not left unattended at any time.
